Palm Beach Society: A windy night forecasts morning’s fast greens for golf tourney

Coif-mussing winds made the dock walk to the Palm Beach Yacht Club just a wee bit challenging for guests at a reception for the Children’s Healing Institute.

The event, honoring the sponsors of the organization’s inaugural golf fund-raiser, took place Nov. 5.

In addition to cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and Cosmo Kramer hair, the evening included an up-close look at the 2020 Lamborghini Urus and Lotus Evora GT models, a preview of the silent auctions to be offered at the golf tournament, and a short videoabout The Children’s Healing Institute’s mission and efforts to prevent child abuse.

The inaugural Drive out Child Abuse Golf Scramble was held on Friday on the Champion Golf Course (home of the Honda Classic) at PGA National.

Sandy Munoz, CEO of the of The Children’s Healing Institute, spoke briefly after the video.

Asbacher Architecture was host for the evenimg. Event sponsors include the Barton & Gray Mariners Club, Fernando Wong Outdoor Living Design, Lamborghini Palm Beach, and Wheels Up.

More than 50 people attended the sponsors reception.

Proceeds assist The Children’s Healing Institute, a non-profit organization founded in 1988, in its mission to preserve families by partnering with parents in the home and the community to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Services focus on reducing stress, promoting health, building parenting skills, teaching non-violent discipline, and strengthening support systems.
